Therapy isn’t about sitting in a room and venting until the hour is up. It’s about building a strategy to help you stop just surviving your life and start actually living it.

My Story

Like most of you, the path that led me to where I am now was not a straight one.

My interests and pursuits have varied from actuary (what even is that?) to music producer to high school English teacher to police officer (all within a four-year college experience) before eventually becoming a soldier, a coach, and a therapist.

Being an army airborne infantryman exposed me to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual demands I might have never otherwise faced. I learned what it truly means to push through pain and discomfort, to rely on a team, and to value discipline.

I also learned that “sucking it up” and "pushing through" only work for so long. I watched too many friends and fellow service members struggle to carry the weight on their own, and it too often led to destructive behaviors and a home life that was anything but sustainable.

After the service, I used my G.I. Bill to go back to school and stumbled across the Marriage and Family Therapy program I’d ultimately attend (a profession I’d genuinely never heard of before). I was drawn to it because of the emotional and relational hurt I witnessed in the military community.

Becoming a CrossFit coach during grad school only reinforced that pull as I was struck by the overlap between mental and physical health. Both worlds are full of high performers burning out because they don't have the right tools to manage their inner world.

As a therapist, I’m not here to judge or to be a crutch.

My goal is to triage and help you stop the bleeding, build the scaffolding you need to grow, and send you off better equipped to handle whatever life throws your way.

How We Work Together

If you’ve been hesitant to try therapy because you’re afraid of endlessly talking in circles, my approach is different.

I am trained in Systems Theory, which means I don't just look at you as the problem; I look at the context you live in.

Here is what that looks like in practice:

  • We go beyond "Vent Sessions": We use tools like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you clarify your values and take action, rather than just getting stuck in your thoughts.

  • We understand your "Parts": Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), we make sense of why part of you wants to slow down while another part (the Manager) is screaming at you to work harder.

  • We reconnect the System: Whether it's the disconnection in your marriage or the tension in your nervous system, we work to bring your head, heart, and actions back into alignment.

While every client's journey is unique, most people move through three natural phases. Some move quickly, others need more time in certain areas. We'll adjust based on what you need.

01

AWARENESS

UNDERSTANDING WHAT'S HAPPENING

Early sessions focus on clarity. What's not working and why? What patterns are you stuck in? You'll gain understanding of what's been happening, language for your experience, and hope that change is possible.

02

INTENTIONALITY

CHOOSING YOUR DIRECTION

Middle sessions focus on building. What do you actually want?

What needs to change? You'll clarify your values and direction, develop skills (boundaries, communication, self-compassion), and experience early wins that build confidence.

03

MOMENTUM

SUSTAINING THE CHANGES

Later sessions focus on sustainability. How do you maintain this without therapy? You'll consolidate skills, build maintenance rhythms, and develop confidence to do this on your own.

A Note on Faith & Spirituality

For many of my clients, faith is a core part of their story—sometimes as a source of strength and sometimes as a source of pain or confusion.

I am a faith-literate therapist. What that means if you are:

  • A believer - Your faith is welcome here. We can integrate your spiritual values into our work seamlessly.

  • Reconstructing your faith - If you are untangling toxic theology or asking hard questions, this is a safe, non-judgmental space to explore that. I don't have an agenda for your spiritual life other than your wholeness.

  • Sceptical of religion -
